My poor kiddo is completely heart broken today after losing her partner in crime,BBF,Ben.
Ben is a toy stuffed Rat we bought for her January 22,2009 after (yet another) 1 of our pet rats died.We've had many pet rats over the years and it is of course extremely when they pass away so we bought Ben as sort of a Memorial ..Rats generally only live to be around 2 and we thought it would be nice to have a a toy one she could have and keep with her forever.
Earlier today we went to childrens hospital to be Devins support while she had her cast removed and a new brace put on and while in the waiting room Molly had taken her laptop in and out of her book bag a few times (Ben was in the Book bag).we got up only once to hit the vending machines,after 5 hours at the hospital it was time to head home,as we walked out to the car Molly stuck her hand into her bag to take out Ben and with a Panicked look on her face she yelled "BENS GONE" and darted back inside the hospital,i followed behind her and for more than 45 minutes Molly,me & a Security guard searched for Ben,tracing our steps ,searching under chairs,couches ,vending machines,everywhere we could think of but Ben was no where to be found.
We left our name and number and description of Ben and are hoping and praying he is found by someone and turned in to Lost and Found.If he doesn't make his way back to US,I can only pray a child who really needed a new little buddy like Ben found him and gives him a great home...
